Include Your Student in the Directory

student directory

It’s time to update your student information for the Directory.
Head to and enter invitation code POMS2016.

Join PTO at $50 or higher to receive a printed copy of the Directory in October.

POMS PTO collects your information online and then gives you secure access to the online system.

How do you access the online directory?
Once we have received and reviewed your family’s information, you will receive an email with login instructions.

What’s so great about the ONLINE directory?
• It’s secure – your family will have a unique login and password and the directory can’t be lost or stolen.
• It’s free – you can search by student’s first name, grade, teacher and family last name.
• You can create your own custom list of frequently called families.
• You can access the family directory from any internet device: your computer, smart phone, iPad, etc.
Is it secure? YES! All data is stored behind secure firewalls and can only be accessed by authorized users with a validated username and encrypted password. All data is viewed and passed using SSL encryption.

Time for Box Tops for Education

Box Tops

Our school is participating in the Box Tops for Education™ program. Clipping Box Tops is an easy way for you to help our school buy what it needs. Box Tops are each worth 10¢ and they quickly add up to real cash for our school. Please help us meet our current school year earnings goal of $1500. There is a collection box in the front office for your convenience.

To help our school, just look for pink Box Tops on products, clip them, and send them to school. For more information on the Box Tops for Education program, including a list of participating products and our school’s progress, visit Be sure to become a member to receive exclusive coupons and recipes and learn about extra ways for our school to earn.

Thanks for your help!

Corporate Matching Gifts

POMS PTO is so grateful for the generosity shown by parents in their gifts of time and donations. As the year comes to a close, please check with your employer about their matching gifts program. It’s a simple way to double the impact of your donation! Questions? Contact Jodie Rephlo at

Giving Tree Orders

This holiday season consider gifting POMS, and leave a lasting marker of your child’s time at Pin Oak. Purchase a metal leaf or granite stone to honor your student, teacher, club, or athletic team. Place your order by December 18th for an early spring semester installation.   Click here to place your order online using a credit card.

See the POMS Giving Tree on the right hand side of the school entry, and join the tradition.

Contact Lauren Earthman ( if you have any questions.

(Re)enroll in Kroger Community Rewards to Help POMS

Attention Kroger shoppers! Have you (re)enrolled in Kroger Community Rewards? Each school year, shoppers must re-enroll in in Kroger Community Rewards Program to benefit our school.

Enrollment is now online only and takes just a minute or two. Go to and sign up, using the code for POMS PTO, which is 84162.

Each year, we receive hundreds to dollars back from community programs like this which help to provide books, manipulatives and other classroom learning tools. It is easy money, but it only works if we get as many Pin Oak families as possible to enroll early in the program/school year.

Within 7 to 10 business days of enrolling your Kroger Plus Card, you will see the following at the bottom of your receipt: “At your request, Kroger is donating to Pin Oak Middle School PTO.” Please forward this message to friends and family who shop at Kroger and would be willing to support our students!
