Pin Oak Publicity encourages you to take photos throughout the year of our school events, students that have achieved recognition in and outside of Pin Oak Middle School, as well as outstanding faculty and staff. We may submit them for print to area publications along with press releases. If it is “newsworthy” we will submit it for publication, whether it is a photo of students who won a sport, academic or music event, traveled to a different country, or received recognition for community work. Please send us your photos. Here are some 'before' tips on how to get your photo published.

Submitting Photos to Pin OAK PTO:

• Please set your digital camera to its highest resolution setting.
• In the menu go to “image quality” and select the highest setting.
• In the menu go to “image size” and select the largest size.
• DO NOT reduce the photos in size when emailing them to us.
• ALL images should be emailed as an attachment at their original size.

Although there is no guarantee, most photos taken at these settings should be acceptable.

The only reason not to keep your camera on these settings all the time is that it eats up more memory, This means you can’t store as many pictures on the memory card.
Solution: Bring more memory cards if you take a lot of pictures!

Publicity Volunteers:

• We need parents & students that like to take photos at events.
• We need parents & students that like to write a short paragraph that accompanies the photo and names all persons on the photo correctly.
• All photographers and writers will receive credit for their published work.
